Join us on our Villafamés Day Trip and discover a beautiful village in the Valencian province of Castellón. We'll depart from Benicassim and head to this picturesque spot, strategically located in the Sierra de les Conteses mountain range.
Villafamés Day Trip from Benicassim
At the indicated time, we'll meet outside the Benicassim Tourist Office. After introducing ourselves, we'll get on the minibus and head to Villafamés. Our journey should only take 30 minutes.
Once we've arrived at Villafamés, which is also an Asset of Cultural Interest, we'll start walking through the old town. We'll be accompanied by a guide who'll share many interesting facts about this village with us.
During the guided tour, we'll see the façade of the Assumption Church, we'll discuss the village's rich history and we'll go to the castle to admire its imposing walls. We'll also explain the strategic importance that Villafamés' location and its castle had centuries ago.
Our route will then take us to Grossa Rock, a natural monument that has become a symbol of Villafamés. Mysteries and legends are concealed within this massive stone's history, and we'll reveal some of its secrets during our tour.
The last stop will be at the Batlle Palace. This 15th century building currently houses the Villafamés Museum of Contemporary Art. We'll visit its different exhibition rooms while discovering different artistic trends from the 20th century.
We'll finish our day trip by returning to the starting point in Benicassim, where we'll arrive 4 hours and 15 minutes after departure.
