The Assisi private tour will start outside the Basilica of St. Clare. We'll spend 3 hours walking around the city stopping to see the main monuments and any other points of interest you may find interesting.
First, we'll visit the two jewels of the city, the Upper Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and the Lower Basilica of St. Francis. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000, this place of worship was constructed in honour of the founder of the Franciscan order and is a must-see visit for those staying in the Perugia region.
For about 1 hour 30 minutes, we'll discover the numerous chapels that form the sanctuary and the crypt containing the mortal remains of St. Francis.
The tour will continue to the Temple of Minerva, located in the popular Piazza del Comune. Although it currently functions as a church, the origins of this place are more related to the Old Roman Empire. You'll discover this and much more during the visit.
